Alejandro M. Martinez (b. Miami, Florida, 1992) is a photographer based in Miami, Florida. Working within the post-documentary discipline, his practice explores the intersection of culture, religion, and the human experience.
Institutional exhibition highlights include A1A Intracoastal Connection at Oolite Arts (2023) and Palm Film Lab Annual No. 1 at The Betancourt Gallery (2024). Editorial projects include Herencia Magazine, published by Cuban Cultural Heritage (2024). O, Miami will publish his forthcoming commissioned project, Zip Odes. Martinez was a finalist in the LensCulture Portrait Awards (2025).
Born and raised in Miami as the son of a Cuban immigrant, Alejandro’s upbringing in the city’s cultural mosaic informs his photographic approach, particularly in his use of color and subject matter while honoring voices often left unseen and creating work that speaks to the shared, universal experience of being human.
